TORSODirector David Fincher (right) (Fight Club) is in talks to direct an adaptation ofTorso, a graphic novel by Brian Michael Bendis and Marc Andreyko about”Untouchable” Elliot Ness’ exploits after his famous grapple with Chicago’scrimelord Al Capone. PIRANHADirector Charles Russell (The Mask, Eraser) is set to direct a remake ofB-movie classic Piranha. Russell previously directed a successful remake ofanother B-movie property in the ’80s, with The Blob.
THE PRESTIGEBrit actor Andy Serkis (King Kong) has landed himself a role in ChristopherNolan’s The Prestige, as the assistant to Tesla (David Bowie, right), alongsideChristian Bale and Hugh Jackman. SWEENEY TODDTim Burton and Johnny Depp are set to work together yet again on a musicaladaptation of Sweeney Todd, the infamous story of a Fleet Street barber whokilled people to fill meat pies with their innards.
