“If you have a problem, if no-one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire, the A-Team.”
A tag line surely everyone remembers from this famous 1980s TV show abouta group of ex-soldiers that are on the run from the military for a crimethey did not commit. But whilst they are, they “problem solve”, if you’rethe underdog and can convince them you have a problem they can solve. Butit’s not the kind of problem solving that seems to get anyone killed byall the shooting that invariably goes on in each episode.
Contains three episodes of the A-Team. Although they are listed intransmission date order on the DVD, it doesn’t mean they were transmittedin that order – could have missed an episode or two. So if there were anycontinuing character lines it might not make sense.
- 1. “The Taxicab Wars” (46m 28s)
- 2. “The Maltese Cow” (45m 41s)
- 3. “Chopping Spree” (46m 24s)
The disc opens with the Universal titles, then a copyright notice – bothunskippable or speed-upable. Then into the menu where you can choose fromwatching each titled episode and an “A-Team Files” option (A-Team themetune plays in the background). The Files option takes you to a menu whichpresents text about the A-Team (no music in background).
All the episodes have chapters where advert breaks could / would have beenintented when they were originally transmitted on TV. When you finishwatching an episode, it takes you back to the main menu where you canselect another episode to watch.
The audio sounds very good, and the picture quality looks excellent, especially considering the age of the programme.
Overall, a bare bones DVD which is great if you want to look at a TV showthat never took itself too seriously, and if youre a fan – you’d buy itanyway.
