Furious Minions is a mash-up of the new Minions prequel as well as the new The Fast & The Furious movie, Furious 7.
Minions are yellow henchmen, who have existed since the beginning of beginning, evolving from a yellow single-cell organisms into beings who have only one purpose: to serve the most ambitious villains. After their masters were destroyed, they decide to isolate themselves from the world and start a new life in Antarctica.
Sometime in the 60s, the lack of a master drives them into depression, so bravest minion and two other volunteers set out to find a new one. They arrive at a villain convention, where they compete for the right to be henchmen for Scarlet Overkill, a stylish and ambitious villain determined to dominate the world and become the first female super-villain…
I don’t often go for kids CGI movies, and this is no exception. The trailer is enough for me, really.
The cast of Minions includes Sandra Bullock, Steve Coogan, Steve Carell, Jon Hamm, Katy Mixon, Hiroyuki Sanada and Jennifer Saunders as the Queen, and you’ve got a while to wait as it’s not released in the UK until June 26th 2015.
Furious 7, nee Fast and Furious 7, continues the series that will never end until they’re all pushing up daisies, and this time round, Ian Shaw (Jason Statham) seeks revenge against Dominic Toretto and his crew for the death of his brother.
I’ve yet to see one of these films in full, and quite frankly, the trailer is enough for me. There’s a scene that takes up half the trailer which is actually quite amusing, but do I need to pay £10 to see that again, plus 2 hours of all the cast standing around talking? I don’t think so.
Furious 7 also stars Dwayne Johnson, Paul Walker, Lucas Black, Vin Diesel, Ronda Rousey, Michelle Rodriguez, Kurt Russell, Jordana Brewster, Iggy Azalea, Djimon Hounsou, Nathalie Emmanuel, Tony Jaa, Tyrese Gibson and is released in the UK on April 3rd 2015.
