Guernica centres around James D’Arcy as cynical American correspondent Henry who has lost his way in his profession. Together with Teresa (María Valverde), one of the Republic’s censors, in charge of overseeing the news that journalists can send abroad, they’ll head into Guernica and period drama territory…
Directed by Koldo Serra from a script/story by José Alba, Carlos Clavijo Cobos and Barney Cohen, the cast also stars Burn Gorman, Ingrid García Jonsson and Hugo Silva, and this hasn’t grabbed me, but then period dramas aren’t always my bag.
Guernica hasn’t yet been given a UK or US release date.
