#Horror is a new… erm… horror movie, inspired by actual events, which centres around the lives of six young women, Sam (Sadie Seelert), Georgie (Emma Adler), Sofia (Bridget McGarry), Francesca (Mina Sundwall), Cat (Haley Murphy) and Eva played by our young ensemble of emerging actresses.
Their world is one of money, success, ease and decadence and the film is about the horror of cyberbullying, giving an integral insight on the pressure that girls take on as they grow in a world that is increasingly dependent on the promotion and attention that social media platforms provide yet prevent bullying. as well as the roles that parents must play regarding controlling their child’s use of the internet and bullying plays such a terrifying role in society.
These young woman are telling this story inside a glass mansion, filled with millions of dollars of artwork, as if they were living in a contemporary museum with artworks including works by Urs Fischer, Rob Pruitt, Dan Colen, Franz West, Steven Shearer.
Written and directed by Tara Subkoff, this film stars ChloĆ« Sevigny, Taryn Manning, Natasha Lyonne, Balthazar Getty, Timothy Hutton and Lydia Hearst, and it looks intriguing but I’m not sure how good a film it’ll actually be just based on this trailer.
However, #Horror is the most SEO*-unfriendly movie title I’ve ever come across. You can’t have a hash symbol in a URL and ‘horror’ will come up as a word in a large percentage of all movie-related posts online.

#Horror is released in the US on November 20th, completely missing Halloween. As for the UK, there’s no date yet.
