Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is a forthcoming game with a 2D top-down view, and takes place both before AND after the original 2012 Hotline Miami, and it wil focus on the aftermath of main character Jacket after killing off the entire Russian mafia on the behalf of mysterious messages on his phone.
It certainly shows that 8-bit gaming never went away, even if it has been spruced up a little for the new generation.
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is due out in the 3rd quarter of 2014 on PC, OS X, Linux, PS3, PS4 and PS Vita.
