Hysteria is a forthcoming series from Paramount+, starring Julie Bowen and Anna Camp.
Synopsis: Set in the 1980s, it follows a group of high school misfits who form a heavy-metal band in rural America. When their town is gripped by a wave of Satanic panic after the star quarterback goes missing, the band pretends to become devil worshippers to capitalize on the hysteria.
But their prank quickly spirals out of control, forcing them to face real fear and danger. The series follows this group of outsiders as they confront genuine horrors and test their friendships amid the era’s panic.
Hysteria is released on May 16th 2025, and we’ll be checking this one out soon.
