Imperfect Women centres around three women – Eleanor (Kerry Washington – The School for Good and Evil), Mary (Elisabeth Moss – Shining Girls) and Nancy (Kate Mara – A Teacher) – all with annoying high pitched Voices, where everyone sleeps with their colleagues if they’re single, and talks in half-sentences that result in more questions than answers.
Alas, when you take three girls, for one, she’s taken permanently, as Nancy is found dead… but you fail to care, and the longer it goes on, the more you wish everyone would follow.
That’s because the direction is leaden, the script is awful, the acting is wooden, and their delivery is like a bad daytime soap opera, even from Ms Moss.
As an aside, i also tried the audio description, which said at one point, “Eleanor turns into a parking lot”… Nice trick if you can manage it.
Thanks to our friends at Apple TV for the screener prior to release.
Imperfect Women is on Apple TV from Wednesday, but isn’t yet available to pre-order on Blu-ray or DVD. If it is in future, it will be listed on the New DVD, Blu-ray, 3D and 4K releases UK page.
