Killing Hasselhoff? Say whaaaaaa?! Yes, as the trailer states, “It’s Time To Off The Hoff!”
The basic premise of this movie sounded so ridiculous I didn’t know if it’d be worth my time even thinking about it, but as I watched the trailer, I was cracking up, and I now decree it’s a must-see!
Ken Jeong plays a man in a high stakes celebrity death pool, who quickly loses everything – his business, his bank account, his home, his fiancé. He snaps, then realises the only way to get his life back on track, which is… He’ll have to murder his own celebrity. Yes, come in David Hasselhoff, your time is up!
But I jest…
However, what really sold this to be was the inclusion in the cast of Jim Jeffries, one of the funniest men on the planet!
I first saw him soon after he came to the UK around 2004 or so, and was gigging at the Comedy Store in Manchester, his quick wit and sharp accent coming to the fore many a time, including when a drunk woman at the back wouldn’t shut up, and as she waffled a load of swear words at him, he retorted, “Sorry, love, I don’t speak *skank*!”
So it’s a shame he’s barely in the trailer, especially since he’s second in the credits, after the lead, Ken Jeong.
Killing Hasselhoff is released on Blu-ray and DVD on October 2nd, and is available to download on September 18th, and I really can’t wait to see this.
