Mothers and Daughters looks like it’ll win ‘dirge of the year’ as it tells interwoven stories about what it is to be a mother, as seen through the lens of photographer Rigby Gray (Selma Blair).
Not related to last year’s Fathers and Daughters, this can be summed up as the mothers saying, “We’ve fallen out for some reason, so let’s get back to where we were because one day I’ll be dead”.
Get your sick bags ready!!!
The extensive cast includes Christina Ricci, Courteney Cox, Susan Sarandon, Elizabeth Daily, Eva Amurri Martino, Sharon Stone, Mira Sorvino, Paul Wesley, Luke Mitchell, Paul Adelstein, Natalie Burn, Quinton Aaron and pop star Ashanti.
The film is co-directed by Nigel Levy and Paul Duddridge, based on a concept by the latter, who really should’ve left it at that stage! Paige Cameron is responsible for the screenplay.
Mothers and Daughters is released in the US on May 6th, but as of yet there’s no UK date. Please don’t hurry.
