Against All Odds
This year’s Pop Idol/X-Factor winner, taking another overblown karaoke singer towards the top of the charts,but don’t worry – he’s bound to stop troubling the charts soon. After all, look at last year’s winner, Michelle,as well as the failure of those who have come from BBC’s Fame Academy, save for Lemar.

Probably not, since their Xmas is in January.
Do the “stars” performing know what the whole Band Aid event is about? Doubtful, since Busted were asked andshowed their knowledge by saying to the cameraman, “Well, we read the leaflet in the back o’ the car and itlooked really bad” (!)
Will I be buying this single? No. I’ll be getting the Live Aid DVD, but this new single is a godawful mess.Bono loves himself too much and the rest are either young upstarts or Chris “I reckon I’m the new BobGeldof” Martin. Bunch of attention seekers, the lot of them.
Damien Rice’s cover was far better, with a young child sat in the lap of the grim reaper. Just replace thechild with this recording and do us all a favour.
