This week, the No.1 went to another X-Factor bore, Alexandra Burke with Start Without Youwhere she keeps saying “I’m not Caprice”. Well, duh! It actually reminds me of Boney M’s dreadful “Hooray! Hooray! It’s a Holi-Holiday”.On the plus side, it displaces Olly Murs to No.4.
Meanwhile, there are new entries for The Script’s For The First Time (Times Are Hard) (No.5), McFly’s Party Girl (No.6),Emma’s Imagination’s This Day (No.10), Alesha Dixon’s Drummer Boy,Greg Street Feat. Soulja Boy & Keri Hilson’s Turn My Swag On (remix) (No.17), Pictures’ Tears (No.33), The XX’s Islands (No.39) and Linkin Park’s The Catalyst (No.40).
Lower entries outside the Top 40 include The Saturdays’ Higher (No.62) andHurts’ Illuminated (No.68).
In the album charts, Brandon Flowers takes the top slot with Flamingo, knocking Katy Perry down to No.2.
