So the Manics go all political. Again. Quel surprise(!)
Call on Me
Back up to No.1, and by doing so it broke a record… by being the lowest-selling No.1 of all time witha mere 23,519 sales. It beat the previous record-holder, Daniel Bedingfield’s Gotta Get Thru Thiswhich climbed back to the top slot the week after Xmas 2001 with just 25,354 copies sold.
Still, look on the bright side – at least I didn’t have to comment on Duncan Blue & Feeble’s joint effortwhich only shifted 22,462.
This climber now stops the run of singles going straight in at No.1 which cameto 17 in a row:
