Eternal‘s first number one, and in the usual tradition, I can’t stand it.Although at first I did like “Do You Love Me”, the pills soon wore off andnormal service was resumed.

In this week’s Top 10, Michael Jackson‘s No.1 again (Blood on the Dance Floor),there’s one climber into the Top 10 (Lighthouse Family – Ocean Drive, from 11to 8), and one new entry (Andrea Bocelli – Romanza, 10).
Outside the Top 10 there’s new entries for Olive (Extra Virgin, 15), Brownstone (Still Climbing, 19) and Paul Young (Paul Young, 39).
22. Fine Young Cannibals – The Flame
In mid-November last year, the Fine Young Cannibals came back out of nowhereto give us this top tune which went in at No.17 and disappeared the next week.
It was to promote their ‘Best of’ album, “Finest”, which also came with alimited edition CD of remixes, but that was the last we’ll ever hear of themunfortunately, save for their pointless re-release of “She Drives Me Crazy”which made No.36 for a week in mid-January 1997.
