ACORN MEDIA is delighted to announce the DVD release of the BBC smash hit drama New Tricks Series 7, which continues the investigations and exploits of the Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad (UCOS).
The seventh series of the highly acclaimed, chart topping detective drama New Tricks comes to DVD as a three-disc set on 1 August 2011, to coincide with the transmission of Series 8 on BBC One.
Detective Superintendent Sandra Pullman (Amanda Redman - At Home with the Braithwaites, Honest) heads the UCOS, cracking previously unsolved crimes from the past. Her team are three ex-policemen; Gerry Standing (Dennis Waterman - Minder, The Sweeney), Jack Halford (James Bolam – When The Boat Comes In, Born and Bred) and Brian Lane (Alun Armstrong - Garrow’s Law, Little Dorrit) who have all opted for early retirement.
New Tricks Series 7 sees a case being reopened when a victim’s daughter provides new evidence from a psychic; the team is approached by a known paedophile who confesses to murder, but they find themselves trying to prove his innocence; and an old adversary brings them fresh information on a 30-year-old bank job that threatens to finish the unit forever.
With the TV series attracting audiences in excess of 7 million viewers, New Tricks Series 7 is great British drama at its very best.
