Polar sees Mads Mikkelsen is no slouch with his winter-based movies, given the also upcoming release of Arctic next month, but for now we have this new film from Netflix.
He plays Duncan Vizla, a master assassin who comes out of retirement to contend with a group of young hit men, simply because when you retire, you get $8m from the company… which, because they’re unscrupulous, want it back, and they’ll kill to do so. Of course, this will lead to even more deaths, and lots of men and women who won’t get to retire because he’s now piling up their bodies in a row…
Like Zac Efron has done for a while, Vanessa Hudgens (Camille) also gets to hang up her High School Musical goody-goody image by appearing alongside Mr M.
Polar is released on Netflix on January 25th and I can’t wait to see this! Even in there is Matt Lucas as a bad guy, which looks like interesting casting, and similar to Netflix’s own movie, Death Note – one of my Top 3 favourite films of 2017, this film also has comic book origins.
