Richard Coyle (Coupling) and Indira Varma (Torchwood) star in the highly anticipated new series from ITV1, The Whistleblowers releasedto own on DVD from Contender Home Entertainment on 12 November.

Richard Coyle (Coupling, Gunpowder Treason and Plot) and Indira Varma (Torchwood, Rome) star as Ben Graham andAlisha Cole, personal injury lawyers at the same highly successful London firm. They live together and Alisha hasjust discovered Ben has a five-year-old daughter. Although shes doubting whether she can trust him again,something is about to happen which will bring them closer together than ever before something that will takethem into a world of few moral certainties.
They witness a miscarriage of justice on their own doorstep and, instead of giving in to the temptation to lookthe other way, they speak out. However, by trying to do the right thing, Ben and Alisha suddenly find themselveson the other side of the law enemies of the state. Having themselves blown the cover on a secret Governmentpolicy on suspected terrorists, Ben and Alisha leave behind their jobs as lawyers to aid those brave enough tostep forward, whatever the consequences.
The Whistleblowers is a thrilling six-part series created by Carnival Films (Hotel Bablyon) and writtenby the award-winning Tony Marchant (The Mark Of Cain, Holding On, Recovery, Kid in The Corner). Marchant writesthree of the six episodes, one episode is written by real life whistleblower and ex-immigration officer TonySaint, another by ex teacher Steve Thompson and a sixth by Paul Logue (Sea of Souls). The first two episodesare directed by John McKay (Life on Mars), episodes three and four by Paul Gay (Skins) and episodes five and sixby Richard Clarke (Life on Mars).
With the stakes getting higher and higher, Whistleblowers is set to be a ratings winner this autumn and will haveyou on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
