On 6th April 2009, Network Distributing releases GET SOME IN THE COMPLETE THIRD SERIES (Cert. TBC), RRP £12.99. This is the first time that the complete third series is available in any format.
At last the finish line is in sight as Ken, Jakey, Bruce and Matthew near the end of their gruelling basic training at RAF Skelton, under the watchful and unforgiving leadership of Corporal Marsh. Life is finally looking up even though there is still the tough, Inter-Fight Competition to get through with the habitual gentle encouragement from Corporal Marsh, as well as the nursing-attendant training under Squadron Leader Bush
Inspired by the successful The Army Game and the nostalgic Dads Army, writers John Esmonde and Bob Larbey (Please Sir!) set about writing and creating another show that would emulate the success of the aforementioned army – based series, but from a fresh perspective and revived energy. The result is this RAF based sitcom GET SOME IN, which ran from 1975 1978 and was much loved and enjoyed by viewers all over the country, with Robert Lindsay and Tony Selby both turning in wonderfully comedic performances.
The DVD is out on April 6th, it runs for 150 minutes and retails for £12.99 on DVD,but is currently on Amazon at the link above for £8.48.
