Original Spider-Man: Season 2, Volume 1 traces the origins of Spider-Man back to the scientific mishap that dramatically transformed Peter Parker into a wall-crawling super hero. Juggling a busy job at the Daily Bugle with a life of crime fighting, Spider-Man is continually tested when he comes up against numerous formidable enemies.
The season kicks off when student Peter Parker is bitten by a radioactive spider during a lab experiment which sees him acquire strange new super powers. After his Uncle Ben is murdered, Peter Parker decides to put his super powers to good use by creating a crime-fighting alias, otherwise known as the web-slinging Spider-Man.
Peter Parkers new job at the local newspaper becomes treacherous after his boss, J. Jonah Jameson is kidnapped, forcing Spider-Man to confront the evil criminal, Kingpin. In order to boost his social status at school, Peter Parker mischievously uses his spider powers to get a place on the school football team. However, he finds his plans in disarray when the wicked Sky Master kidnaps the schools star quarterback.
Fighting those who seek to cause chaos and abuse the good nature of the innocent people of New York, can Peter Parker accept the loss of his uncle and adapt to his new role as the citys new crime-fighting superhero?

Continuing the sensational second season, Original Spider-Man: Season 2, Volume 2, sees freelance photographer, Peter Parker, transform into his web-slinging alter-ego, Spider-Man as he does battle with a myriad of magical monsters and cunning criminals including the menacing Molemen, the magical Scarlet Sorcerer and a giant prehistoric plant!
This volume of the series commences when ex-convict Mugs Riley and the menacing Molemen return to seek revenge by causing New Yorks buildings to mysteriously disappear. After being sucked into their grasp, its up to Spider-Man to dig his way out of subterranean slavery.
Taking a break from the rat-race of New York, Peter Parker embarks on a student exchange trip to the Andes which is thrown into disarray when he and the flight crew crash in the jungle. The rescue attempt leads them to a hidden underground city of gold, where Spider-Man encounters a primitive tribe of Aztec natives and the threat of a billion dollar blast.

Entering the final season of the series, X-Men Season 5, Volume 1 kicks off with the super-heroes continuing battle against evil aliens and sees them form a series of unlikely mutant alliances to help combat the continued threat to human safety.
The penultimate release begins dramatically when the X-Men are confronted by the Phalanx, a formidable group of techo-organic shape shifters. In a bid to prevent the Phalanx taking over and causing a human feeding frenzy, an unexpected mutant alliance is formed.
While attempting to kidnap Storm, Akron, the leader of an alien dying planet, unleashes freak weather conditions over Washington DC. When Storm finally agrees to join Akron and become Queen of Polemachus, the joyous wedding preparations commence.
