How can they find the world’s most wanted war criminal when the C.I.A. can’t?
[by actually looking]
There is no justice in war until now as Momentum Pictures releases the explosive thriller THE HUNTING PARTY to buy and rent on DVD on 9 February 2009.
With a heavyweight cast including Oscar-nominee Terrance Howard (Iron Man, Crash), Diane Kruger (National Treasure: Book of Secrets, Troy) and Richard Gere (Primal Fear, Chicago), this explosive action-packed story is a fascinating thriller from director Richard Shepherd (The Matador).
Based on an article written by Scott Anderson for Esquire magazine entitled What I Did on My Summer Vacation, THE HUNTING PARTY is an action-packed thriller about five reporters who actually did try to capture real life war-criminal Radovan Karadzic. Throughout the early 1990s Karadzic was responsible for the bombing and slaughter of thousands in war-torn Bosnia, evading capture for 13 years until his eventual capture on 18 July 2008 in Belgrade and is currently facing trial in The Hague for war crimes.
On the fifth anniversary of the end of the civil war in Bosnia, former hot-shot reporter Simon Hunt (Gere) mysteriously appears years after imploding on live television and disappearing into a self-imposed exile. Hunt convinces his ex hot-shot cameraman Duck (Howard) to go on a dangerous journey to secure an interview with a notorious wanted war criminal simply known as The Fox. Together, with the help of a mysterious but beautiful informer (Kruger) they drive deep into Serb territory, facing more intrigue and danger than they ever could have imagined not only from the Serbs but from deep inside their own country.
Throughout the film we see Hunt and Duck reporting from explosive war-torn towns whilst keeping light on their toes, evading brutal war torture and the local Serbian gangsters.
