Bringing Down the House, one of 2003?s funniest comedies, starring Steve Martin(Novocaine, Father Of The Bride), Golden Globe and Oscar nominee Queen Latifah(Chicago, The Bone Collector), and the riotous Eugene Levy (Jim’s Dad in theAmerican Pie trilogy), is out to rent on DVD and video from 17th November.

Bringing Down the House tells the story of Peter Sanderson (Martin), an uptight, divorced tax attorney still hung up on his estranged wife. WorkaholicPeter, who has no social life and poor relationships with his children, findssolace in a cyber love affair with a ?buxom blonde lawyer?. On their firstmeeting, however, things don?t quite turn out as he would have hoped. Lo andbehold, the buxom blonde turns out to be the ghetto fabulous, Charlene (QueenLatifah), a prison escapee who arrives on his doorstep with a plea to helpclear her name.

Charlene quickly takes over Peter?s life, jeopardising his career and hamperinghis efforts to woo a billion-dollar client. However, while Peter is doing hisbest to distance himself from Charlene, his smitten friend, Howie (Levy), istrying to get closer to her. A stiff middle aged lawyer, Howie makes repeated,hilarious attempts to impress with his ?street lingo? and bizarre, ineptcompliments.

It?s not long before it becomes apparent that Charlene really isn?t all bad.She?s just a misguided angel in disguise and soon she is showing Peter theerror of his ways and helping his family come back together.
