Oh, take me back to the 80’sand the days of Rubik’s Cubes, ZX Spectrums and “Kevin Toms’ FootballManager”. Back then when I were a nipper, we had no need for fancy graphicsand star commentators as we took our teams on the path to fortune and glory.Things have changed nearly twenty years on but not here.
Pick a team from any of five international leagues for the 1999/2000 season, set them matches to play, watch the days spin by, go up or down the league, get promoted or relegated and that’s it…
You can also choose a game type of Career’ or Manager’, but the former addslittle to the experience, as you can buy or sell players and partake in othersimilar duties – anything apart from actually kick a ball yourself.
With choice of a text-based commentary for each match, or highlights of jerkymotion-captured Shearer and Owen with voiceover from BarryDavies, this is one for die-hard football fans only because there’s solittle to do and nothing to grab this reviewer.
