In 1961, four local lads quickly made a name for themselves in the small harbourtown of Liverpool. The Cavern Club became second home to the quartet as theyquickly built up a strong fan base; due to the two or three gigs they playedevery week. For the next decade The Beatles dominated pop music on bothsides of the Atlantic with number one singles and sell-out tours worldwide. Almost 30 years since they disbanded, the ‘Fab Four’s’ popularity is unyieldingensuring that they forever remain pop icons.
Now some 38 years later, Sir Paul McCartney makes a long-awaited return toThe Cavern Club armed with his bass guitar and a stellar four-piece band of rockmusic legends. The set includes many of the blues and rock ‘n’ roll classicsfrom the 50’s that inspired The Beatles along with some of McCartney’s songsfrom his Run Devil Run album released in 1999. This is how rock ‘n’roll music should be lived -energetic, fast-paced, sweaty and very very loud!
Both the DVD and video feature a 22-minute video interview with McCartney andare presented in 1:78:1 widescreen. Extra DVD features include DTS and DolbyDigital 5.1 soundtracks, two music videos (Brown Eyed Handsome Man &No Other Baby), band biographies and Cavern Club history.
