Momentum Pictures are delighted to announce the release of the Full MetalChallenge DVD and Video – the only chance to interactively experience thehair-raising games behind the cult Ch4 13-part Sunday evening battle to becomethe Full Metal Challenge World Champion. The DVD, with special limited editionmoulded packaging, also features exciting interactive features and never seenbefore footage, including tours of the set and interviews with the presenters,Henry Rollins and Cathy Rogers.
Channel 4’s Full Metal Challenge sees 27 teams from across the globe competingagainst each other in machines self-designed and assembled in only one monthwith a mere £2,000 budget. Contestants from all five continents battle it outin nine games designed to push man and machine to the absolute limit.
Special features and DVD extras include:
- Interactive games – presented using a multi-camera angle feature on your DVD player, enabling you to see first hand what the drivers are experiencing during a game. Games include sinking or swimming in Wetropolis, car-sized pinball in Bumper Cars,territorial conquest in King of the Hill and vehicle-wrestling in Sumo.
- Interactive features ? watch the DVD in interactive mode and click into team links whilst watching FMC. This allows you to watch mini documentaries on the teams and how they made their vehicles.
- Tour of the set – Greg Bryant, Chief Engineer on FMC takes you around the set, looking at each of the games and how they were built
- Interviews with presenters: the unstoppable actor/comedian Henry Rollins and Junkyard Wars and Scrapheap Challenge presenter, Cathy Rogers.
- Interviews with FMC director, Julia Knowles & chief rigger, Wes Moore

About the Presenters:
Henry Rollins is a musician, spoken word artist, writer, comedian andactor. He has never been predictable. His career spans two decades andincludes 19 music and spoken word albums, 12 books, one Grammy Award and animpressive acting career with 8 movie credits. TV appearances include a ComedyChannel Special ‘Live and Ripped from London’. This man is unstoppable.
Cathy Rogers is a director of RDF Media and one of the UK’s top scienceproducers with a string of international hit shows to her credit. Comfortableboth behind the scenes and in front of the camera, Cathy has produced andpresented six series of Junkyard Wars and five series of Scrapheap Challenge.
The UK teams featured in Full Metal Challenge are from Dorset, Staffordshire,Buckinghamshire, Devon, East Sussex, West Midlands, Cambridgeshire,Clockmannanshire, Scotland and County Durham.
The DVD runs for 90 minutes and contains the extras:
