OF THE NINTENDO GAMECUBE IN THE UK – LAUNCHING MAY 3RD

When the clock strikes midnight on May 2nd, UK games fans will finally be ableto get their mitts on their next installment of Nintendo mastery – the NintendoGameCube. On the eve of the launch of the much heralded home console, cashtills will be rolling at HMV stores in Glasgow, Birmingham and London, as theNintendo GameCube makes it debut on the store shelves.

For those that get there early, the first 100 people to buy the Nintendo GameCubefrom the stores named below will get their very own copy of Luigi’s Mansionpremiering Mario’s brother in his first starring role as a ghost-trapping heroABSOLUTELY FREE!

And if they are not part of the first 100, Nintendo will be handing out plentyof goodies throughout the wee hours meaning that they will not go away emptyhanded (asides from their gleaming Nintendo GameCube of course).

Midnight openings for the first sales of Nintendo GameCube in the UK will takeplace at the following stores at midnight on Thursday 2nd May:

  • HMV in Birmingham: 38 High Street, B4 7SL
  • HMV in Glasgow: Unit 6, Argyle Street, G2 8AD
  • HMV in London: 150 Oxford Street, W1N 1DJ

HMV is the official Nintendo GameCube launch partner.

Nintendo GameCube launches across Europe on May 3 2002 and is expected toretail for £129.
