Nintendo to reduce the price of the NINTENDO GAMECUBE to a fantastic £79!

David Gosen, Managing Director of Sales and Marketing for Nintendo Europe,comments :
“There has never been a better time to get a GameCube and with this newprice we want every household to have one. Our range of games has somethingfor everyone and we know people love to play them. At the same time theindustry has honoured these games with awards for innovation and excellentgameplay. If you are new to gaming or have been playing for years, then atthis great price you simply can¹t afford not to have a GameCube.”

In the run up to Christmas 2003 players will see NINTENDO hit top gear withsome of the most anticipated games for the NINTENDO GAMECUBE. The NINTENDOGAMECUBE will boast a library of over 200 games by Christmas, many of whichare exclusive. Key games launching this Christmas include, from Nintendo:Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Soulcalibur II, 1080 Avalanche, F-Zero GX andMario Party 5. From third party publishers: Star Wars Rogue Squadron III:Rebel Strike from Lucas Arts, Viewtiful Joe and P.N.03 from Capcom, BillyHatcher and The Giant Egg from SEGA, FIFA Football 2004, Harry Potter:Quidditch World Cup, The Lord of The Rings: The Return of the King andMedal of Honor Rising Sun from EA, WWE Wrestlemania XIX from THQ and TonyHawk’s Underground from Activision.

Retailers in the UK have pledged their support to Nintendo, claiming thatthe reduction in price will ensure that the NINTENDO GAMECUBE is a hugesuccess this Christmas. “We are delighted with this news from Nintendo.This will provide a real boost to sales, and is supported by some terrificnew software titles.
