RETAIL GETS READY TO BUNDLE THIS CHRISTMASPosted: December 1st, 2000.
The high street sees a seasonal frenzyas retailers from both the biggest chains and the independents back the Dreamcast to the hilt this Christmas with the introduction of superb value for money offers, bundling the world’s only online games console with a selection of leading games. These retail led initiatives will see only one winner this Christmas – the games buying public.
HMV, Dixons Stores Groups, Electronic Boutique/Game, Woolworths, Comet, and Gameplay are all offering tantalising Dreamcast plus great software deals ranging from £149 to £169. Excited shoppers can find themselves walking away from stores with a Dreamcast and at least 2 games ranging from Metropolis Street Racer, Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation and Sonic Adventure plus an additional free copy of the fabulous ChuChu Rocket online game.
Other sensational deals can be found at Virgin, Amazon.co.uk and Toys R Us. Independent retailers have deals offering a Dreamcast, a multi-region DVD Player plus a ‘triple A’ software title and blockbuster movie for £299 or less.
