Academy Award winning director Curtis Hanson (LA Confidential) and AcademyAward winning producer Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind), have made ablockbuster film with multi-platinum recording artists Eminem, who givesan electrifying performance in this gritty and raw drama, supported by anexcellent cast including Academy Award winning Kim Basinger. 8 Mileis a story about the boundaries that define our lives, and a young man’sstruggle to find the strength and courage to transcend them. The film charts aweek in the life of Jimmy “Rabbit” Smith Jnr (Eminem) a rap-obsessed kid froma single parent trailer park “family” on the 8 mile line which separates theblack ghettos of Detroit from the white trash beginnings of the suburbs.

Rabbit knows his ticket out is through his rhymes, but to succeed, he has tochannel his anger into his lyrics, and face the showdown of his life…
