I swear on the Headbangers Bible that youll enjoy this one.
Firstly, kick granny out and make some space, then its time to soundproof your house andblast the night away. By the way, this is also perfect for cruising down themotorway. Under one title, Headbangers Bible, this is one of the best rockcollections available.
Featuring some of the seminal rock-riffs across the decades, Warner havereally done their homework on this one. Coming in at a whopping 172 minutes, youll be suitably impressed with the bands and tracklisting.
In their time, these were some of the hottest anthems around. Memories comeflooding back when the bands ruled the world with their sometimes outrageous barnetsand stage gear, lead by incomparable Vincent Furnier, aka Alice Cooper onSchools Out, his first and last chart topper in 1972. Ace axemenRichie Blackmoore, Tony Iomi, Joe Walsh, Paul Kossoff, Ted Nugent and BrianMay show how its done on All Night Long (1980), Paranoid (1970),Rocky Mountain Way (1977), Alright Now (1970 and 1991), CatScratch Fever (never charted but still an huge anthem) and KillerQueen (1974).
It gives me a great thrill to hear some of these guitarists allcrammed together as Ive had the great pleasure of hearing them playlive. Its not all thump thump, as you get a fair representation of somestylish rock ballads such a Bostons classic More Than A Feeling (1977),Bad Companys Feel Like Making Love (1975) and Thin Lizzys Rosalie(1978) which include some rip-roaring guitar solos.
Only one question. Why no Led Zeppelin ?

Elly Roberts passed away in 2011, but he was a man who was so passionate about all types of music and loved meeting his musical heroes, such as Mick Hucknall at a book signing at the Trafford Centre, Manchester in 2007.
A former teacher and also a music journalist, DJ and radio presenter on local community station Calon FM, plus appearances on BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru and BBC Radio 2, Elly started doing reviews for DVDfever.co.uk in 2004 and he did the majority of the CD and concerts reviews on the website.
I know also that he loved getting away for the summer to Spain and I hope that wherever he is now he is enjoying the hot sunshine and, as one of his friends has said on his Facebook page, that he is interviewing his musical heroes.
