This particular disc contains a special that was recorded for the HBO channel, it’s a lot less profane than those familiar with his work will have come to expect. There are still the obligatory ‘F’ Words here… There are just less of them. This set is essentially a pared down version of his “Relentless” material, with a few additions, and covers such subjects as Drugs, Pornography, Music, Smoking and Drinking. Most of these are subjects close to my heart…

Most of the material in this show is very familiar to me, from his “Relentless” video. If you can find it, I would suggest you try and track down that over this disc, quite difficult, as it is now deleted (where’s the DVD, damn it!?!). If you can’t find that then this is a good purchase, with some caveats (see below), but if you’re a fan, you’ll probably want to buy both, and I say “Go ahead” if it’s an option that’s open to you.

The show was recorded on video for intended TV transmission and as such is in it’s original full screen ratio. There seems to be some kind of a defect with the master tape, between the 6m 50s to 7m 17s points. It’s really quite distracting. The quality is obviously little better than video, but if you watch it a lot (like I do) at least it’ll never get any worse.

Only a Dolby Digital 2.0 track here, on the sound front, but the routine is always clear, no muffled lines or anything. It’s a good thing there weren’t any muffled lines, as there are no subtitles of any kind here to help out.

For extras we have a… Menu from which we can choose to either watch the show or jump directly to any of the 7 chapters on the disc. Woo Hoo… I feel spoilt by that selection!!!

The disc has quite a low overall score, but with the cheap retail price it’s well worth a punt for Hicks fans.
