Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman have made a heartfelt video announcement about how they’re quitting Strictly Come Dancing!
As Tess and Claudia sit below, they say:
- Claudia: “There have been some rumblings, and we want you to hear this from us”
Tess: “We have news. After 21 wonderful years on Strictly, we have decided the time is right to step aside and pass over the baton.”
Claudia: “A very sparkly baton…. Tess, you’ve been here since the beginning.”
Tess: “2004! With Brucie! Lovely Brucie! That’s over the last two decades and a lot of that time has been with you.. and generally, we have cherished every second.”
Claudia: “We’re so lucky to have been part of an amazing show, and we want to thank the Strictly team, because they are the ones who MAKE it”
Tess: “They are the very best team in television. The audience have also been with us for 21 years and it wouldn’t be the same without them. They are so loyal.”
Claudia: “We are loving this series, and have a brilliant rest of the series to come and can’t wait to get to Blackpool”
Tess: “And we can’t wait to do that show dance that we have long dreamt of. We’ll do it together”
But what next for them? Claudia has Celebrity Traitors, as well as the regular series, but what does Tess do? Hey ho.
