The Assassin is set during the mighty Tang Dynasty-period in Chinese history with Qi Shu as the titular assassin.
Nie Yinniang returns to family after several years in exile. The mission of her order is to eliminate the tyrany of the Governors who avoid the authority of the Emperor. Now she will have to choose between sacrificing the man she loves, or break definitively with the “order of the Assassins”.
Alas, this was a great example of style over substance and bored the backside off me, however hot Qi Shu is.
The Assassin also stars Chen Chang and Satoshi Tsumabuki and is released in the UK on January 22nd 2016.
