The Girl Who Died is the fifth episode in Doctor Who Series 9, and the start of another two-parter, this time featuring some annoyed vikings as well as Maisie Williams from Game Of Thrones and Cyberbully!
Captured by Vikings, the Doctor and Clara must help protect their village from space warriors from the future, the Mire. Outnumbered and outgunned, their fate seems inevitable. So why is the Doctor preoccupied with a single Viking girl?
As well as the trailer, below you can check out an introduction to the episode, Steven Moffat’s teaser for the episode, plus two clips – Clara’s Lost In Space and Trapped Vikings – and a brief interview with Maisie Williams talking about crossing fandoms.
The Girl Who Died is written by Steven Moffat and Jamie Mathieson (Flatline, Mummy On The Orient Express), and directed by Edward Bazalgette (The Doctor’s Meditation).
The episode also stars David Schofield, Simon Lipkin, Ian Conningham, Tom Stourton, Alastair Parker, Murray McArthur and Barnaby Kay.
The Girl Who Died is broadcast tomorrow night on BBC1 at 8.20pm, but I wish Strictly Come Dancing wasn’t pushing it so late.
