Pick of the week: 28 DAYS LATER
28 DAYS LATER will street on October 21. The disc will be available inseperate anamorphic widescreen (1.85:1) and fullscreen (why bother?)editions. It looks to have the same content as the Region 2 disc. Retailis $27.96
- Excitement Factor: 10 out of 10. This was the best film I saw all summerand you can bet I’ll be there to pick it up on release day. Geez,October kicks ass, MATRIX RELOADED on the 14th then 28 DAYS LATER andthen THE HULK (see details below).
DVDfever Ed: Am I the only one who thought this movie blewbig chunks?
WRONG TURN will street on October 14. The disc will feature ananamorphic widescreen (1.85:1) transfer. Extras include a commentary,featurettes, and deleted scenes. Retail is $27.96.
- Excitement Factor: 8 out of 10. This horror flick came out of left fieldand it was actually quite enjoyable, definitely check out the crazedmountain mutants going after the youth of today when it comes out.
UNIVERSAL
THE HULK will street on October 28 (as rumors suggested) in seperateanamorphic widescreen (1.85:1) and fullscreen versions. It will be atwo-disc set featuring a plethora of extras including an Ang Leecommentary. Retail is $26.98
- Excitement Factor: 8 out of 10. A comic book flick that got slated bythe critics (here at least) who went in expecting something likeSPIDER-MAN. The Hulk is a more emotionally tormented hero to be as funand carefree as our favorite webslinger.
WARNER HOME VIDEO
MALIBU’S MOST WANTED will street on Septemeber 9 in seperate anamorphicwidescreen (2.35:1) and fullscreen editions. Extras include a commentarytrack and more. Retail is $26.98
- Excitement Factor: 0 out of 10. Geez, a spoof of Eminem, I never thoughtthat would happen(!)
PARAMOUNT
THE COMPLETE ADVENTURES OF INDIANA JONES box set has been pushed UP toOctober 21 from November 4 seemingly due to FINDING NEMO streeting thesame day.
BETTER LUCK TOMARROW will street on September 30. The disc will includean anamoprhic widescreen transfer (1.85:1) and a few extras. Retail is$29.98
- Excitement Factor: 7 out of 10. I heard good things about this film somaybe it’s worth a look.

- X2: X-MEN UNITED is now rumored to street on November 25th in seperateanamorphic widescreen (2.35:1) and fullscreen versions. Cover art hasbeen released so expect an announcement soon (hopefully).
- PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL is rumored tostreet on December 2 in seperate anamorphic widescreen (2.40:1) andfullscreen versions.
- TERMINATOR 3: THE RISE OF THE MACHINES is rumored to street on November18 in seperate anamorphic widescreen (2.35:1) and fullscreen versions.
- BAD BOYS II is rumored to street sometime in December.
- SINBAD AND THE LEGEND OF THE SEVEN SEAS is rumored to street onNovember 18.
- LEGALLY BLONDE 2: RED, WHITE, and BLONDE is rumored to street onNovember 11.
