Going straight in at No.1, in the UK Top 100 Music Chart w/e November 15th 2014, is Cheryl Vib-Ribbon, or whatever she’s calling herself, with I Don’t Care. Ooh, that’s ripe for me saying I don’t care about the track either. It’s not bad in terms of the music, but then gets lazy when lyrics include the fact she has “shit to do” and later uses the f-word. I’m sure Mother Tweedy is very proud of her. As for the music-buying public, they’ve made this her 5th No.1, seemingly breaking the record for the most No.1 singles held by a British female artist.
As such, Ed Sheeran drops to No.2 with Thinking Out Loud, a dripping lovey-dovey balled that’s been hanging around the charts since it first entered at No.26 at the end of June. It’s still terrible. The only new entry is at No.6 for Calvin Harris feat. Ellie Goulding with Outside, while there’s a resurgence for John Legend as All Of Me, now in its 40th week in the chart, climbs from No.26 to No.4. Has it been featured on the X-Factor?
