Going straight in at No.1 in the UK Top 100 Music Chart w/e February 1st 2014 is Clean Bandit Feat. Jess Glynne with Rather Be, and it’s very uninspiring pap pop. How the hell did this get to No.1?

As such, Pharrell drops to No.2 with Happy and it’s a much more deserving top-slot track than most in recent weeks.

The other new entries in the Top 10 come at No.3 and 4, respectively, with The Vamps with Wild Heart, a band with a name who sound like they should be into goth music but are more like a One Direction copy. Then comes Neon Jungle with Braveheart, a four-piece female outfit doing a dance track. At least now I know who’s pumping out this turgid shit in my local gym.
