Vigilante Diaries leads with Michael Madsen in what the billing claims is “a high octane action-adventure film featuring 90’s movie heroes, explosive action, and international espionage.”
There are black-ops agents turned crime-fighters, led by a brooding anti-hero – the titular “Vigilante”, doing “jam-packed missions of rescue and revenge take us from the mega-mansions and underbelly of Los Angeles to far away places like Iraq, Armenia, Russia and the UK to introduce us to a cast of colorful, dangerous, and hilarious characters”. Hmm… it actually looks fairly standard straight-to-DVD fare.
Directed by Christian Sesma (AWOL-72, and the Viligante Diaries TV series), who also wrote it with Paul Sloan (I Am Wrath), the film stars Sloan with Jason Mewes, Kevin L Walker, Michael Jai White, James Russo and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson (BA Baracus in The A-Team movie from 2010).
The film is released in the US on June 24th, but as of yet, there’s no UK date.
