Win Win… Well, anyone with only this to watch on a Saturday evening will lose, but anyway.
This was not available for preview, and I understood that there might be some elements which have to be done live, so the audience at home could also take part in some elements of the show, so that explains why I couldn’t see it in advance if it’s meant to be done ‘as live’. Got it? Good.
I ended up watching it later in the evening, since I was out like Jeremy Vine.
First question from Mel And Sue – aka Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins – was “What do you love most about Britain?”
For some morons, it’s “painting graffiti on a small roundabout”.
Tedious questions such as “What’s the nation’s favourite biscuit?“, before filling time by talking to the contestants. Once the two fastest contestants have been identified, there’s some food question where for the pair, one have to get a higher item in a Top 10 listing than the other… so, it’s Family Fortunes.
The contestant who succeeded won a car… unless they wanted to trade for a place on Millionaire’s Row, where you have a chance of winning £1m in the final week of the series, but even when someone wins, they don’t look particularly fussed.
As for the person at home who wins, their name is revealed on the laser display screen after the break, but… since the programme is recorded on a Thursday evening in Elstree, Mel & Sue have no idea either, and just pretend to be happy for someone random.
This crap is so drawn out, too. Please make it go away. I’m not surprised even a preview wasn’t available for viewing!
And I weep at whatever the fuck Phil had done to his earholes, with those weird earring things.
These viewer tweets also summed it up…
I was in the audience for win win. I stayed out of curiosity for how a show is made but I said to my partner afterwards it was going to be shit viewing on TV. I can’t see it having a second series #winwin

Feigning excitement over a studio blank screen is embarrassing! #WinWin pic.twitter.com/TTNsBp0WyW

Really thought #winwin with #melandsue would have been better. After answering all the #questions this is the last screen you have to complete. I mean #seriously. Don't think I'll be watching again. My husband really didn't like the programme either. 🙄 pic.twitter.com/PTGDV1lxCH
