Words and Pictures is a title which brings back a bizarre children’s TV show from the late 70s/early 80s featuring a hovering little character called Wordy, but in this case it’s a romantic comedy starring Clive Owen and Juliette Binoche as an art instructor and an English teacher who form a rivalry, ending up with a competition at their school in which students decide whether words or pictures are more important.
Also starring Valerie Tian, Navid Negahban, Bruce Davison and Amy Brenneman, but any film I’ve seen by Fred Schepisi, including Roxanne, Mr Baseball and Fierce Creatures has been a disappointment at best, and Words and Pictures doesn’t look like it’ll break that trend.
