UK Top 100 Music chart summary & my views w/e June 21st 2014

mu210614Ella Henderson goes straight in at No.1 with Ghost, in the UK Top 100 Music Chart w/e June 21st 2014, and it’s a very funky track indeed, and one that’ll go down well in a nightclub.

As such, Ed Sheeran drops to No.2 with Sing, and the only positive thing I can say about it is that it’s NOT a dance track at the top, but it’s still a pile of dull nonsense. And, oh, how he looks like his own muppet!!!

There are two other new entries in the Top 10. No.3 sees Tiësto feat. Matthew Koma with Wasted, while there’s a tribute to one of the greatest comedians who ever lived at No.7, as Rik Mayall goes straight in with Noble England, following a successful internet campaign.

Since Ella Henderson’s track is a good ‘un, I’d normally have played it below, but given the passing of Rik Mayall, only one track can be played:
