At first I baulked at the price listed for the Xbox One – an outrageous £599.99 – but on closer inspection, I’m assuming Amazon are hedging their bets with the price because they also add the caveat “Order now and you’ll be charged the lowest price at release”.
And while Microsoft tell us the console will be available before the end of the year, Amazon have listed the date as “December 31, 2013”, even though anyone with a brain knows that if it’s going to be released this year, it’ll be out well in advance of the Christmas – and I’d predict October, which is around the time when products start to be released for the festive period.
So, are you going to put your money down straight away when we don’t even know much about the actual games that will be released?
