Ashby might not sound like an attraction-grabber by saying it’s a coming of age/approaching death comedy drama, but there looks to be great camaraderie between Nat Wolff as 17-year-old nerd Ed Wallis, and his neighbour, Ashby (Mickey Rourke), a terminally ill ex-CIA contract killer who is trying to make peace with his life and God before he goes.
However, his style of ‘Making peace’ entails killing three old bosses who have tricked him into breaching his strange moral code…
With a cast also including We’re The Millers‘ Emma Roberts, plus Sarah Silverman, Kevin Dunn and Michael Lerner, I’m really looking forward to this one.
These’ no UK release date for Ashby, however, but hopefully it’ll not be long after it’s out in the US on September 25th.
