Assassin’s Creed Syndicate takes us deep into the underbelly of 19th Century London, and is this year’s entry in the long-running Assassins Creed series. Last year’s entry, Unity, had bugs galore, resulting in a game that was practically unplayable. Have Ubisoft learned their lesson, this time?
Syndicate introduces assassin Jacob Frye, who, with the help of his twin sister Evie, will change the fate of millions in Assassins Creed Syndicate. Rise to rally and lead the underworld to break the corrupt stranglehold on London in a visceral adventure filled with action, intrigue and brutal combat.
“Don’t mess with Evie”, we’re told. She’s the oldest of the Frye twins, and a master assassin who executes both her plans and her targets with meticlous precision. Jacob, on the other hand, has a cane sword – stylish and brutal. It’s the ultimate Victorian weapon and looks like the kind of thing John Steed might go for in The Avengers.
Throwing Knives are lightweight, designed for speed and accuracy. Cleverly thrown, they distract nearby enemies.
There are also exclusive missions to PS4 – The Dreadful Crimes, play as either Jacob or Evie to solve a series of murders inspired by the works of the most famous detectivve novelists of Victorian England. Pre-order the Xbox One version, and you’ll also get The Darwin and Dickens Conspiracy.
Below is the Cinematic trailer, the Evie Frye trailer, a gameplay video and an interview with Marc-Alexis Côté, Creative Director, Assassins Creed Syndicate, talking about the game PlayStation’s E3 2015 Live Coverage show.
