Before We Go makes me question whether Terminator Genisys really will be the worst film ever made in 2015, since this new romance looks so syrupy sweet that it’ll put diabetics in a coma simply by sniffing the digital celluloid.
Brooke (Alice Eve – Star Trek: Into Darkness) misses the 1:30am train from New York to Boston, leading to street musician Nick (Chris Evans – Avengers: Age Of Ultron) spending the night trying to help her make it back home before her husband does. Throughout the night, they learn a lot about one another and eventually find romance… Awww! (puke)
The film also stars Maria Breyman, Scott Evans, Emma Fitzpatrick and no-one else you’ve ever heard of, and it’s the directorial debut from… oh dear, the same Chris Evans.
As for the plot – a couple meeting by chance and spending the night together? Before Sunrise, this is not!
Before We Go is out in the US on September 4th, and doesn’t yet have a UK release date. Be thankful.
