Boy Erased is a forthcoming drama about Jared (Lucas Hedges – Lady Bird, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri), the son of a Baptist preacher, who is forced to participate in a church-supported gay conversion program.
This looks like a pet project for Joel Edgerton, who stars, directs and co-writes (with Garrard Conley), and those playing Jared’s parents are Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman.
Personally, I don’t care for this.
Boy Erased is released in the US on November 2nd, but as of yet there’s no UK date. I’m not in a rush.
