DVDfever.co.uk – Dominator’s Music chart summary: w/e June 19th 2010
I’ve got a bit fed up with the charts over the last few years as there hasn’t been a great deal to shout about. I mayend up dropping it altogether, but until then I’ll just summarise things with a few words about the new entries andanything else of interest.
This week, the No.1 went to the dire ‘charidee’ record of Shitty Rascal singing, “Shat, Shat, Let it All Out”, a bastardisedcover of the Tears For Fears song, unably assisted by mediocre ‘comedy genius’ James Corden. Other football songs inthe charts, thanks to the World Cup, are a new version of Baddiel & Skinner And The Lightning Seeds‘ 3 Lions(No.10), a re-entry for Fat Les – Vindaloo (No.32) and would you believe Terry Venables singingIf I Can Dream at No.23.
As an aside, another re-entry was Stereophonics‘ Local Boy In The Photograph at No.60, following thedeath of their former drummer/co-founder Stuart Cable last weekend, aged just 40.
In the album charts, Christina Aguilera takes the No.1 slot with her new album, Bionic, with othernotable new entries including The Drums (No.16), Steve Winwood‘s Revolutions The Very Best Of Steve Winwood(No.18), Iyaz – Replay (No.26), and also compilations for The Who at No.27, and Jimi Hendrixat No.29.
The new release dates for singles and albums can be foundHEREand they go up to mid-August 2010.
