My BRUTALLY HONEST REVIEW of COLDWATER on ITV!

Coldwater Coldwater Coldwater sees John (Andrew LincolnPenguin Bloom) taking his kids to the park, but soon witnesses a violent assault in the park which is truly shocking, and gets blamed for not intervening, although given that he had his five-year-old son in his arms, he couldn’t do much, anyway. Plus, at best, he’d ALSO have got a pasting.

These days, you never know what someone’s capable of when they’re a sandwich short of a picnic, as the disgraceful, quick murder of Iryna Zarutska proved, in North Carolina, where the far-right race-baiters immediately piled on and blamed several other passengers for seemingly doing nothing, even though in that split-second, no-one knew the young lady had been stabbed as she reacted as if she’d been hit, and held her hands over her chest. No-one could react until the killer was gone and it was too late by then. It was all over in seconds.

But back to this, and John likes running around everywhere. Since I’m also just North of 50, I could do with doing the same.

Two months later, and the family have upped sticks and moved from London to Scotland, but after getting away from one scrote in London, there’s another in Scotland, and he wimps out of a confrontation yet again, this time with some drugged-up mental case called Angus (Lorn MacdonaldThe Lazarus Project).

He has no sex drive for his wife, Fiona (Indira VarmaDisclaimer), but perhaps he can start to him his bearings in life again, with the help of new neighbour and unconvential vicar Tommy (Ewen BremnerT2 Trainspotting), who’s married to Rebecca, played by Eve Myles, so when this airs every other episode on a Monday, she’ll compete with her other show, the ridiculous The Guest.

Coldwater is all rather on the ridiculous side, and you might have to splash some of it on your face to check you’re not imagining it all, but there’s enough in here to get me into more.

Plus, some other thoughts as I checked it out again while live…
