Dave Made a Maze is led by Nick Thune as the titular Dave, an artist who has yet to complete anything significant in his career…
…until he builds a TARDIS-sized fort in his living room out of pure frustration, only to wind up trapped by the fantastical pitfalls, booby traps, and critters of his own creation…. and then he invites his friends and neighbours to join in.
The film also features puppetry, stop-motion animation, and in-camera optical illusions, re-igniting the tactile sense of wonder from the movies of our childhoods… it says here.
Watching this trailer, it looks like everything the Jumanji 2017 reboot is not: i.e. entertaining, and I really want to see this.
Dave Made a Maze is released in the US no August 18th, but as of yet there’s no UK date.
