Deadpool 2 is coming… but not for about a year. Ryan Reynolds(right) again takes the role of Wade Wilson but the plot isn’t yet know. However, it’s rumoured – as hinted in the post-credits scenes from the first Deadpool movie that Cable will feature, and IMDB has David Harbour (Dexter Tolliver in Suicide Squad) listed to play him.
This bizarre teaser showed Deadpool witnessing a street robbery, then racing into a phone booth a la Superman to change into his outfit, but far more slowly… and, yes, in a phone booth, even though there’s hardly any of those left, if any.
Add in some True Romance intro music, references and a poster for Logan (in the US, this is being shown just before that film starts), plus the story of The Old Man and the Sea (if it’s valid – I didn’t read it all… or beyond the first few words).
Oh, and Stan Lee‘s in there, too.
Interestingly, there’s a change in director from the first film’s Tim Miller to David Leitch, one of the directors of John Wick, as well as this August’s Atomic Blonde, starring James McAvoy.
Deadpool 2 is released in US cinemas on March 2nd 2018, but as of yet, there’s no UK date. Expect it around the same time.
