Deadpool is coming and so does the trailers, and together was released a second Official Trailer, and also a second Red Band Trailer, but the Red Bands are always better. Still, I’ll put them both below.
The Red Bands show that this film is going to be dangerously close to an 18-certificate unless 20th Century Fox screw it up again as they have with Kingsman, Taken, Taken 2, Taken 3, The Maze Runner, A Good Day To Die Hard and many more, including ALL the Die Hard movies from Die Hard 2 onwards, since only the first one escaped being censored in the cinema.
Yes, Deadpool is yet another superhero movie, but while I’m kinda getting tired of these coming out every month or two, there’s a lot to enjoy in this, showing that this isn’t just going to be another 12A-certificate pile of crap like Ant-Man.
I know, it has the downside that Ryan Reynolds playing the titular character, but it also stars Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano (Haywire), TJ Miller (Transformers: Age Of Extinction) and Ed Skrein, even if The Transporter Refuelled stank.
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
Deadpool *had* been brought forward a week to February 5th 2016, but has now gone back a few days to Feb 10th. It usually isn’t good that a non-BAFTA/Oscar contender is getting shoved into the January/February release schedule, but hey ho.
